    VegasPeak acts as the "data controller" for the purposes of PIPEDA and is responsible for ensuring that your personal information is handled lawfully and transparently.

    Personal Information We Collect

    3.1 Registration & Identity Information

    When you create a VegasPeak account, we collect the following personal identifiers:

    • Full legal name (first, middle if applicable, and last)
    • Date of birth (to verify you are 18 years of age or older)
    • Residential address including postal code
    • Province of residence (must be Alberta)
    • Email address and mobile phone number
    • Username and encrypted password

    3.2 KYC Documents

    Prior to your first withdrawal, we require identity verification documents including government-issued photo ID, proof of address (within 90 days), and payment method verification. Enhanced due diligence may require source-of-funds documentation for high-volume accounts.

    3.3 Financial Information

    We collect deposit and withdrawal amounts, transaction history, partial payment method identifiers (last four digits of cards, masked account numbers), and source-of-funds declarations where required by AGLC. Full card numbers are tokenized by our PCI-DSS-certified payment processor.

    3.4 Gaming Activity

    We record all gaming activity including games played, wagers, session times, bonus usage, and responsible gambling settings. This data is required for regulatory compliance and responsible gambling monitoring.

    We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with: AGLC and regulatory authorities (legally required); KYC/AML service providers; PCI-DSS-certified payment processors; certified game software providers (anonymized session data); IT and hosting providers; and legal/law enforcement authorities where required by law. All third parties are bound by data processing agreements.

    International Data Transfers

    VegasPeak strives to keep data within Canada. Where data is transferred internationally (e.g., to service providers in the US or EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses, transfers only to adequately protected jurisdictions, and vendor security assessments.

    Data Retention

    We retain personal information for as long as necessary, subject to minimum retention periods required by law:

    • Account and identity records: 7 years from account closure or last gaming activity
    • Financial transaction records: 7 years (Canadian AML legislation)
    • KYC documents: 7 years from account closure
    • Gaming session records: 7 years from date of play
    • Communication records: 3 years from the date of communication
    • Marketing consent records: Until consent is withdrawn, plus 2 years

    Upon expiry, data is securely deleted or anonymized. Data subject to ongoing legal proceedings is retained until resolution.

    Section 11

    Your Rights

    Under PIPEDA you have the right to: access your personal information; request corrections; withdraw consent for processing based on consent; request deletion (subject to 7-year AGLC retention requirements); restrict processing; and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.     Section 12

    Security

    VegasPeak implements: 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit; AES-256 encryption for stored data; multi-factor authentication on player accounts; role-based access controls; regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning; annual third-party security audits; and mandatory breach notification under PIPEDA. We will notify the OPC and affected individuals in the event of a qualifying data breach.

    Children's Privacy

    VegasPeak's services are strictly for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Accounts found to belong to minors are closed immediately with deposits refunded and all data deleted. We support parental control tools including Net Nanny, CyberPatrol, GamBlock, and BetBlocker.

    Section 14

    Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email and a Platform notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
