    Section 01

    Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling

VegasPeak Interactive Ltd. is deeply committed to promoting responsible gambling and protecting the wellbeing of every player on our Platform. We believe that gambling must be an entertaining leisure activity — and we take seriously our obligation to ensure it remains that way.

Our responsible gambling program is built in full compliance with AGLC regulations, RG Check certification standards from the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC), and the iGaming Alberta Act, S.A. 2026, c. I-1.5. We partner with GameSense Alberta, SelfExclusion.ca, and the RGC to deliver industry-leading player protection.

Every VegasPeak team member who interacts with players receives training in responsible gambling awareness, problem gambling identification, and appropriate referral procedures. Our platform monitoring systems analyse player behaviour continuously for signs of harmful gambling patterns, and we proactively reach out to players where concerns are identified.

    Section 02

    Gambling Responsibly — Principles

Responsible gambling means making informed, deliberate choices about when, how much, and how long you gamble. Core principles include:

    • Gamble for entertainment, not income: Never view gambling as a source of income or a way to pay bills.
    • Set a budget before you play: Decide what you can afford to lose and enforce it with our deposit limit tools.
    • Set time limits: Gambling is time-absorbing. Set session limits and honour them regardless of wins or losses.
    • Never chase losses: If you find yourself increasing bets to recover losses, stop and take a break immediately.
    • Don't gamble under emotional distress: Avoid gambling when stressed, depressed, or anxious — it increases the risk of harmful decisions.
    • Balance gambling with other activities: Gambling should be one leisure activity among many, not your primary social outlet.
    • Understand the games: All casino games have a house edge. Understanding RTPs helps you make informed choices.
    Section 03

    Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and may not be immediately obvious. Warning signs include:

    • Spending more money or time gambling than intended or affordable
    • Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or emotional difficulties
    • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gambling or trying to cut down
    • Lying to family, friends, or employers about the extent of gambling activity
    • Borrowing money, selling possessions, or using savings to fund gambling
    • Neglecting work, family, or personal responsibilities because of gambling
    • Needing to gamble with increasing amounts to experience the same level of excitement
    • Repeatedly failing to keep promises to cut down or stop
    • Experiencing guilt, shame, or regret after gambling
    • Gambling to win back money already lost (chasing losses)

If you recognize any of these signs, please use our responsible gambling tools or call 1-866-332-2322 (free, 24/7).

    Section 04

    Self-Assessment Questionnaire

Answer these 9 questions honestly to assess your relationship with gambling (based on the validated Problem Gambling Severity Index — PGSI):

    1. Have you bet more than you could really afford to lose in the past 12 months?
    2. Have you needed to gamble with larger amounts to get the same feeling of excitement?
    3. Have you gone back another day to try to win back money you lost?
    4. Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?
    5. Have you felt that you might have a problem with gambling?
    6. Has gambling caused you any health problems, including stress or anxiety?
    7. Have people criticized your gambling or told you it was a problem?
    8. Has gambling caused financial problems for you or your household?
    9. Have you felt guilty about the way you gamble or what happens when you gamble?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we strongly encourage you to use our responsible gambling tools, contact GameSense Alberta at gamesenseab.ca, or call 1-866-332-2322. Three or more "yes" answers may indicate a gambling problem requiring professional support.

    Section 05

    Tool 1 — Deposit Limits

Deposit limits are one of the most effective tools for staying within an affordable budget. VegasPeak lets you set:

    • Daily Deposit Limit: Maximum you can deposit in any 24-hour period
    • Weekly Deposit Limit: Maximum in any 7-day rolling period
    • Monthly Deposit Limit: Maximum in any calendar month

Set your limits via Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Deposit Limits. Limits take effect immediately. Increases to limits are subject to a mandatory 72-hour cooling period before they take effect — your existing lower limit remains in force during this window. Decreases take effect immediately. You may cancel a pending increase at any time during the 72-hour window.

    Section 06

    Tool 2 — Time & Wager Limits

    Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration per gaming session (15 minutes to 8 hours). When reached, you are automatically logged out and shown a responsible gambling message. A 5-minute warning notification appears before expiry. Daily session time limits (e.g., maximum 2 hours per day) can also be configured. Increases to time limits require the same 72-hour cooling period as deposit limits.

    Wager (Loss) Limits

Wager limits cap the maximum amount you can lose within a defined period: daily, weekly, or monthly. When your loss limit is reached, real-money gaming is suspended for the remainder of the limit period. A clear notification confirms the suspension and its duration. Increases to wager limits require a 72-hour cooling period.

    Section 07

    Tool 3 — Reality Checks

Reality checks are periodic on-screen notifications during play that remind you how long you have been gambling and summarize your session's financial activity. Configure intervals of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Each notification displays:

    • Total time elapsed in the current session
    • Total amount wagered
    • Net wins or losses for the session
    • Current account balance (real-money and bonus)
    • Options to continue, view your activity statement, or end the session

Reality checks cannot be bypassed — they require active acknowledgment. We recommend enabling them for every session, particularly for extended play.

    Section 08

    Tool 4 — Cool-off Periods

A cool-off period temporarily suspends your gaming access without permanently closing your account. Available durations: 24 hours, 72 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 weeks. During a cool-off:

    • You cannot log in or place bets
    • All promotional emails are paused
    • Pending withdrawals continue to be processed
    • You may contact support for non-gaming queries

Cool-off periods cannot be shortened once activated. You may request a longer cool-off at any time. Your account reactivates automatically upon expiry — you receive an email notification before this occurs.

If you feel you need more than a 6-week break, we strongly recommend using our self-exclusion tools rather than repeating cool-off periods.

    Section 09

    Tool 5 — Activity Statement

Your Activity Statement provides a complete, transparent record of all gambling activity on VegasPeak, accessible at any time via Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Activity Statement. It includes:

    • Complete deposit and withdrawal history with dates, amounts, and payment methods
    • Session-by-session gaming history including games played, total wagered, and net result
    • Bonus history including bonuses claimed, wagering progress, and bonus wins
    • Responsible gambling limit history and all changes made
    • Monthly summaries: total deposits, total wagered, net result, and average session duration

Filter by date range (up to 12 months) and export as PDF. If you identify concerning patterns, use our other RG tools or contact the Helpline immediately.

    Section 10

    Tool 6 — Self-Exclusion: Platform Level

Platform-level self-exclusion permanently closes your VegasPeak account and prevents future registration. Activate via Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Self-Exclusion, or contact [email protected] or 1-888-2583-542. Processed within 4 hours. Upon activation:

    • Your account is immediately suspended
    • Real-money balance is returned within 5 business days via your registered payment method
    • All marketing communications cease immediately
    • Your name and email are added to our internal exclusion list

Minimum exclusion period: 6 months. Options include 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, or permanent. Permanent exclusions cannot be reversed under any circumstances. Requests to shorten or reverse an exclusion require a 7-day reflection period and multi-channel confirmation, and are only considered after the minimum exclusion period has expired.

    Section 11

    Tool 6b — Self-Exclusion: SelfExclusion.ca

SelfExclusion.ca is Alberta's province-wide voluntary self-exclusion program, administered in partnership with AGLC. Registration excludes you from all participating licensed online gaming sites in Alberta simultaneously.

Register online at selfexclusion.ca or by phone at 1-866-332-2322. Minimum exclusion: 1 year; options up to permanent.

VegasPeak receives regular updates from the SelfExclusion.ca register and is required to screen all registrations and existing accounts against it. Matching accounts are immediately closed. Any winnings obtained by a self-excluded individual circumventing this process are forfeited and donated to problem gambling support programs as required by AGLC.

    Section 12

Support for Families & Concerned Others

Problem gambling affects not only the individual but also family members, friends, and colleagues. Signs that someone you care about may have a gambling problem include unexplained financial difficulties, increased secrecy about finances, missing work or family events without credible explanation, unexplained mood swings or anxiety, and selling personal belongings.

    What you can do:

    • Talk to them: Choose a calm moment. Focus on specific behaviours rather than personal attacks. Be prepared for denial.
    • Contact GameSense Alberta: gamesenseab.ca provides resources specifically for family members, including guidance on how to have difficult conversations.
    • Call the Helpline: 1-866-332-2322 — support is available to family members and concerned friends, not only to people with gambling problems.
    • Contact VegasPeak: Email [email protected] with your concern. We cannot share account information due to privacy laws but can note your concern and act in accordance with our RG procedures.
    • Gam-Anon: Family support group for those affected by problem gambling at gam-anon.org.
    Section 13

    Protection of Minors

VegasPeak operates a zero-tolerance policy for underage gambling. Our measures include: age verification at registration (mandatory date-of-birth confirmation); full-screen age gate on first visit; KYC identity verification before first withdrawal; and immediate account closure and fund return if underage gambling is detected.

    Recommended parental control tools:

    • Net Nanny (netnanny.com) — Comprehensive parental control software for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android with gambling site blocking.
    • CyberPatrol (cyberpatrol.com) — Internet filtering with specific gambling category blocking.
    • GamBlock (gamblock.com) — Specialized software blocking gambling websites across all major platforms including mobile.
    • BetBlocker (betblocker.org) — Free, open-source gambling blocking software for all devices.
    Section 14

    AML Compliance & Integrity Monitor

VegasPeak's responsible gambling program operates alongside our AML compliance framework and proprietary Integrity Monitor. The Integrity Monitor analyses player behaviour in real time, flagging accounts exhibiting sudden large increases in deposit frequency, rapid deposit-and-withdrawal patterns without significant play, session lengths or wager amounts exceeding established RG thresholds, or access from IP addresses inconsistent with the player's registered Alberta address.

Flagged accounts are reviewed by our compliance team who may contact the player, restrict account access, request documentation, or report to FINTRAC or AGLC as required by law. Our AML and RG systems share data to provide a comprehensive view of player activity, enabling more effective identification of both problem gambling and financial crime.

Enhanced due diligence including source-of-funds declarations is required for accounts with cumulative deposits exceeding $10,000 CAD in any 30-day period, as mandated by AGLC and PCMLTFA.
